Welcome!

What I expect from my students:

MRS. Kasler's  CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

Welcome to my class! I know you expect me to teach you something this year, and you will learn and have fun, too! For us to achieve this,

you will need to follow some rules:

RULES

Be punctual: Do not arrive late to class.  Turn HW in on time.
Be prepared: Come to class with appropriate supplies.
Be polite:  Do not disrespect anyone.  Do not disrupt the learning process.  Raise your hand to speak.
Be productive: Work on class work only, unless otherwise instructed.

When the bell rings, that is a signal for teachers that it is time to dismiss you. It is not a signal for you to run out of class while I am still speaking. STAY IN YOUR SEATS UNTIL I DISMISS YOU.

TARDY

If you are not in the classroom and the bell rings, you will be considered tardy.  I expect you to have pencils sharpened and be in your seats when the bell rings. The first time you are tardy, I will give you a verbal warning. The second time you will write an essay. The 3rd time (and each time after) a warning slip be be issued. Bathroom breaks and water drinks as well as trips to your locker will be taken during the minutes between classes not during class. If you would like, you may come into the classroom, put your things on your desk and let me know you are using the restroom if you think you may need a few extra minutes!

UNPREPARED

Come to class with all supplies: 3 P's  (Paper, pencil, and planner) and your books you need for the class. If you are unprepared the first time, I will give you a verbal warning. The second and time you will write an essay. The fourth time (and each time after), you will be written a warning slip.

HOMEWORK

All homework is due at the beginning of class. I will take homework late only by one day, and you will receive only 50% of the grade. After that it is considered a 0. If you are absent, you will receive one day for each day you were absent to make up your work.

Mrs. Kasler reserves the right to change/amend these procedures.
